Here we have collated resources and services for NHS staff coping with the stresses of working throughout the Coronavirus pandemic. We hope you will find them useful, and welcome any additions you would like us to include. Please get in touch with your suggestions at email@example.com.
During the pandemic the Education Academy & Knowledge and Library Services are providing you with a space to get away from the stress of the clinical area at each of our site, as well as information to help you develop and maintain your clinical skills.
At Whipps Cross and Newham Hospitals we offer comfortable seats and computer access, with tea and coffee, from 10am-4pm. Please check local notices for details. Staff can continue to access our 24/7 knowledge hubs (computer rooms) on each site.
Our Library Hub at the Royal London continues to be available to staff 24/7, and librarians staff the library 10am-4pm every week day. The phone no. there is 020 3594 1169.
St Bart’s Hospital Library (department of diagnostic imaging, on the ground floor of the KGV Building) is also available to staff 24/7 and staffed from 10am-4pm, Monday to Friday. The phone no. there is 020 3465 5467.
All staff are now required to sign-in, and wash their hands with the gel provided, when entering our libraries.
Soft Skills eBook Collection
Bookboon, our soft skills e-library, contains many wellbeing and mindfulness books that staff can read online or download and keep in perpetuity. Titles include "Total Wellbeing: From Stress to Success" and "Manage Your Persnal Energy", amongst others. Access this collection here or via our Digital Library WeShare page.
Books and Puzzles
Our libraries at Whipps Cross and Newham house print collections of leisure reads including mindfulness and wellbeing texts, plus relaxing spaces to read them in. We also keep jigsaw puzzles on display for staff to unwind with.
Our @BartsNHSLibrary twitter feed features lots of wellbeing links, updated daily.

If you feel more anxious or your mood is lower than usual, you will be fast-tracked by your local talking therapies service – Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) can be found by searching for “IAPT” and the name of the borough in which you live. They offer online materials, groups and/or sessions with a therapist.

Barts Health Chaplaincy Staff Support: [via switchboard]
TRN is a registered charity which provides free and anonymous trauma support by qualified EMDR therapists. They are currently offering therapy to support people online suffering from acute anxiety or PTSD due to Coronavirus.
