Clean Air Day webinar: The Tragedy of Air Pollution, An Urgent Call to Healthcare Professionals to Act

Thursday 16th June is Clean Air Day, and at King’s College Hospital we are inviting staff, partner organisations and our local community to learn more about the public health threats presented by air pollution.

Join us for a lunchtime webinar on the 16 June, from 12pm-1pm, where we will be joined by Rosamund Adoo-Kissi-Debrah.

Rosamund is a W.H.O. BreatheLife ambassador and founder of the Ella Roberta Family Foundation. She became a clean air advocate after her 9-year-old daughter, Ella, died in 2013 from asthma. Rosamund spent several years campaigning for a second coroner's inquest into Ella's death to determine whether it was linked to air pollution, and in a landmark decision in December 2020, the coroner ruled it was. Ella became the first person in the world to have air pollution listed as a cause of death on her death certificate.

Rosamund is also an Honorary Fellow of the British Science Association and was named among You Magazine's 21 Most Extraordinary Women of 2021, British Vogue's 25 Extraordinary Women of 2021, The Times' Green Power List 2021 and BBC Radio 4 Woman's Hour's Power List 2020.

The webinar will cover:

o   12.00 Welcome to Clean Air Day at King’s College Hospital

o   12.05 Rosamund Adoo-Kissi-Debrah

o   12.40 Partner action on Air Pollution

o   12.50 Q&A
