This is going to hurt - Adam Kay

Welcome to 97-hour weeks. Welcome to life and death decisions. Welcome to a constant tsunami of bodily fluids. Welcome to earning less than the hospital parking meter. Wave goodbye to your friends and relationships… Welcome to the life of a junior doctor. Hilarious, horrifying and heartbreaking by turns, these diaries are everything you wanted to know - and more than a few things you didn't - about life on and off the hospital ward. And yes, it may leave a scar.

Wade says "a real dark humour but telling insight in to the medical world"

The Gruffalo - Julia Donaldson

This award-winning rhyming story of a mouse and a monster has found its way into the hearts and bedtimes of an entire generation of children and will undoubtedly continue to enchant children for years and years to come. No home should be without The Gruffalo!

Wade says: "As fun as it is to read and play out the characters (more for my benefit than my children) it actually comes from a Chinese folk tale of a fox that borrows the terror of a tiger.

The Innocent - David Baldacci

Master assassin Will Robie is the man the US government call to eliminate their most ruthless enemies at home or abroad. He never questions his orders, and he never misses his mark.

Wade says: "It’s about a highly skilled US government assassin – thrilling and thought provoking read!"

A Florentine Death - Michele Giuttari

Chief Superintendent Michele Ferrara knows that the beautiful surface of his adopted city, Florence, hides dark undercurrents. When called in to investigate a series of brutal and apparently random murders, his intuition is confirmed. Distrusted by his superiors and pilloried by the media, Ferrara finds time running out as the questions pile up.

Wade says: "The author is the former head of Florence Police Force – he jailed a number of key Mafia figures and uses this experience to write his novels, they are thrilling and keep you on the edge of your seat throughout".

Playing with Fire – Nasser Hussain

The brutally honest cricket memoir of former England cricket captain Nasser Hussain.

Wade says: "A local lad (Ilford) who made the most of his cricketing ability to succeed and transform English cricket from the depths of despair and put them on the roadmap to become the number 1 test side in the world".

Still to read ...

Will - Will Smith

Will Smith's transformation from a fearful child in a tense West Philadelphia home to one of the biggest rap stars of his era and then one of the biggest movie stars in Hollywood history, with a string of box office successes that will likely never be broken, is an epic tale of inner transformation and outer triumph, and Will tells it astonishingly well.

Wade says: "Being an 80’s baby, I have grown up with the Fresh Prince of Bel Air! I love all that he does and have followed his career  from an early age – seeing him become this massive megastar – I would like to understand about how he found his journey and what motivates him to continue".

Luxury Item:

"It is probably easy to say mobile phone or tablet but I actually like the thought of being away from all that! I think I would like to have a photo that captures all my family so when I look at it, it triggers memories that will keep me going!"

Record:

"I have quite an eclectic collection of music on various playlists and in vinyl (old skool, I know) so I think I would have to take what I can belt out and not have to worry about upsetting someone (not  a singer by any stretch of the imagination) so it would have to be either; Elvis Presley with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra “If I can Dream” on vinyl or an absolute classic of my collection and provides rich learning to my children and that’s “Pure Garage Reload” the very best of Old Skool Garage".
